Block Clubs

What is a Block Club?

A Block Club is a group of neighbors who have come together in order to make their neighborhood a better place to live.

How often do Block Clubs meet?

Block Clubs can be active without meeting very often. While some clubs meet monthly, others may only get together once a year. It all depends on what you and your neighbors want to do.

What can Block Clubs do?

  • Allow neighbors to get to know each other
  • Provide information about issues concerning the health and welfare of the residents of the neighborhood
  • Address life and career issues
  • Conduct workshops on many topics
  • Provide activities for youth and adults
  • Create a way to have fun with your neighbors
  • Form Neighborhood Watch Groups (the crime prevention program that incorporates citizen involvement within the community)

Possible Block Club Activities:

  • Block Party
  • Guest Speakers
  • Fundraisers
  • Garage Sales
  • Block Clean-ups
  • Problem Solving
  • Assisting neighbors
  • Picnics
  • Sporting Events
  • Cultural Events
  • Gardening and Nutrition Needs
