Chartering / Mandatory Leader Training

Charters are due to the UWEX Office by December 1, 2009.

A representative from all clubs and committees need to come to the mandatory leader training. PLEASE ENCOURAGE ALL YOUTH LEADERS TO ATTEND THE TRAINING.

  • Thursday, October 22 (5:00pm - 7:00pm)
  • Thursday, October 22 (7:00pm - 9:00pm)
  • Monday, November 9 (12:00pm - 2:00pm)
  • Monday, November 23 (5:00pm - 7:00pm)
  • Monday, November 23 (7:00pm - 9:00pm)

4-H Charter & Renewal Process

 

Volunteer Certification

Volunteering is a privilege. All that's needed is a desire to provide quality educational programs and experiences with youth. Previous 4-H Youth Development experience is not necessary. For more information, contact the 4-H Youth Development staff member at your County UW-Extension Office.

All 4-H Youth Development Volunteers working with youth are required to complete the Wisconsin 4-H Youth Protection program, which includes:

  • a background check for arrest and conviction records;
  • participation in a volunteer orientation program; and
  • annually signing the Volunteer Behavior Expectations form

Certification Dates:

  • Friday, November 6 (9:00am - 10:00am)
  • Tuesday, November 10 (12:00pm - 1:00pm)
  • Wednesday, November 11 (7:00pm - 8:00pm)
  • Tuesday, December 8 (1:00pm - 2:00pm)
  • Tuesday, December 8 (5:00pm - 6:00pm)
  • Tuesday, December 8 (7:00pm - 8:00pm)

 

Upcoming Leader Trainings

Club / Committee Officer Training

If any 4-H Club or Committee is interested in having their officer team trained please contact Heather.  The trainings available to your group would include: leadership role description, public speaking, parliamentary procedure, constitution & by-laws, financial training, conflict styles & conflict resolution, team building, project training, youth / adult partnerships, and diversity.
