Owen Hoitomt has been the Director of Business Services/Budget Director since 1993. He began his professional career as a staff accountant for the UW System Financial Reporting Office in 1980, and moved to the UW Extension Budget Office working as a Budget Planner in 1983. From 1985 until 1997 Owen served as the Director of Finance for WHA-TV/WPT.

Owen has an undergraduate degree from UW Madison College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in Nutritional Science and a Masters Degree from the School of Business in Accounting. In 1984 he was licensed as Certified Public Accountant.
