About Effort Reporting
In accordance with federal regulations and guidelines, education on effort reporting is mandatory at UW-Extension. Effort reporting is our means of providing assurance to sponsors that:
1) salaries charged to sponsored projects are reasonable in relation to the work performed, and
2) faculty and staff have met their commitments to sponsored projects.

Effort Training Registration: Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI)
Online mandatory training course required of all faculty, project directors, and academic staff who must certify time and effort on sponsored projects.
Note: When you log in to the CITI course site, you will need to register as a new user.
To maintain uniformity with the Security Authorization Hub at the UW, we highly recommend using your Extension NetID (firstname.lastname) as your Citi User Name and your Net ID/Outlook password as your Citi Password.
