Assistant Professor Armando Ibarra, BA Sociology and Spanish, Master's in Public Administration, and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California, Irvine, joined the School for Workers faculty in January 2011.
Armando has extensive and diverse teaching, research and organizing experience most recently as the lead researcher for Orange County Communities Organized for Responsible Development. His areas of specialization are adult education on issues of diversity in the workplace, international labor migration, leadership development, organizing workplaces, and conducting applied research. Armando has worked on two labor documentaries and is the lead author of Man of Fire: Selected Writings of Ernesto Galarza to be released in 2012.
