On July 1, 2009, John Lund will assume the duties of Deputy Assistant Secretary for Labor-Management Standards at the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, D.C. Key duties of this position involve enforcement of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 which involves union and employer financial reporting and disclosure, internal union affairs, trusteeships and union officer elections.
John will be on an unpaid leave of absence from the School for Workers until June 30, 2010.
