Michael joined the faculty in January 2005 and brings a wealth of diverse engineering experience from a wide variety of industries, including basic steel, machining, metal fabrication, and plastics manufacturing. He was also a member of the UFCW in Champaign, Illinois as he worked his way through college. Most recently he taught at Southern Illinois University Carbondale for both the Department of Workforce Education & Development and the Department of Industrial Technology. Michael's professional interests include industrial engineering topics, lean production, adult career & technical education, program review and evaluation, statistical analysis and design of experiments, and implementation of the Workforce Investment Act.
