• Experiential Learning Model - Experiential learning takes place when a person is involved in an activity, looks back at it critically, determines what at was useful or important to remember, and uses this information to perform another activity.

• Youth and Adult Leaders for Program Excellence - A comprehensive resource kit for those who work with, and on behalf of, young people and for young people themselves. UW-Extension staff members have access to the kit through the 4-H Youth Development publications site.

• Animal Science Program Evaluation - Animal science projects are a foundation of the Wisconsin 4-H Youth Development program. This 2004 study involved 384 current project members and 100 participants in the comparison group.

Program Tools

• Wisconsin 4-H Ambassador and Advisor Program, Wisconsin 4-H Guidebook (55 pages, 400 KB) - Spells out roles and responsibilities of Ambassadors and their adult advisors and provides tools that counties can use to support a county Ambassador program.
