4-H Arts Leadership Lab: Building Leadership through Performing and Visual Arts

We're back in the Dells!

New this year, the 4-H Arts Leadership Lab will be conducted at its former home, Camp Upham Woods near the Wisconsin Dells. Come join us as we take advantage of the beautiful and intimate setting of our state 4-H Camp located on the banks of the Wisconsin River.

The Arts Leadership Lab for new and emerging leaders is open to adults and youth leaders in high school (Grades 9-12) who are interested in leading activities in their clubs and organizations. Participants develop a plan of action to carry out in their local areas. County teams of teens and adults are encouraged to attend. Workshop tracks include communication, music, photography, theatre arts, video, and visual arts. The sessions of all the workshops will include the general principles of leadership, program planning, and practical application. In addition, all participants are involved in large group arts activities. Registration forms are due in the County UW-Extension Office in October.

All county registrations must be authorized and sent to the State 4-H Office by November 1. Counties may register six (6) participants per county. Additional registrants will be accepted as space permits. Everyone on the waiting list will be contacted regarding their status by November 15. This program, sponsored by 4-H, is open to leaders from any youth organization. Mid-November participants will receive a packet of information about the weekend. It will include a health and expectation form, map, planning form, and list of useful items.

NOTE: Refunds will be given for legitimate reasons if the State 4-H Office is given 24 hours notice. No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
