SUNNY RESULTS FOR 4-H YOUTH AT 4-H GOLF CLASSICS
It was a beautiful day for golfers June 13 at the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation’s fourth Annual Northern Golf Classic at Kilkarney Hills Golf Club in River Falls. Participants swung their clubs for a good cause, netting around $10,000 for Wisconsin 4-H Programs.
Funds raised at the Golf Classic support Wisconsin 4-H programs at the state and local level. Nearly 100,000 Wisconsin youth in rural and urban areas learn leadership and communication skills through their participation in 4-H projects and activities.
The Northern Golf Classic was presented by event sponsors AgriBank, FCB of St. Paul, Minnesota and We Energies of Milwaukee. The Wisconsin Farm Report of Madison, Moody’s Chevrolet-Buick-Pontiac of River Falls and Rural Mutual Insurance – Tom, Nick, Steve and Mike Jenkins were also major sponsors. Family Farms of Elva and RJ’s Meats & Groceries of Hudson donated brats and burgers for the pre-golf luncheon. Pierce County 4-H youth volunteered at the event.
The Northern Golf Classic Committee, made up of dedicated 4-H supporters, was led by Robert Hanson, Jim Harsdorf, Dean Henderson, and Sharon Seibel.

The Wisconsin 4-H Foundation’s Ninth Annual Southern Golf Classic, held at Lake Windsor Golf Club in Windsor, was a success for Wisconsin 4-H. Participants in the Golf Classic hit the links for charity, netting over $9,000 on a cloudy day, gving sunny results for Wisconsin 4-H youth..
Funds raised at the Golf Classic by the nearly 65golfers will benefit 100,000 Wisconsin youth involved in 4-H programs at the state and local level. Wisconsin 4-H helps develop leadership and communication skills in both rural and urban youth through a variety of projects and activities.
