Workshop topics will be just what you need and want to be effective and energized, including:

  • Train-the-trainer programs
  • Personal development
  • New and innovative programs
  • Youth development education
  • Communication skills
  • Volunteer middle-management skills, such as supervision; organization of educational programs, events and activities; volunteer recruitment, screening, placement and support; and performance assessment and feedback.

You'll find youth and adults partnering equally in planning, implementing, and teaching this annual conference. The 2007 Forum will reach out to new and diverse audiences and apply experiential learning to all conference events. Join hundreds of adult and youth leaders from throughout the 12 North Central states (Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin) and the Canadian Provinces of Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan.

Priority topics and best practices featured at the Forum will be on strengthening and building youth and adult partnerships, reaching diverse audiences, and experiential learning.

Youth Participation:  Information for Youth, Their Parents, and Adults Serving as Chaperones

A primary goal of this Forum is fostering youth adult partnerships. The program has been designed for all youth and adult participants to be actively engaged together in all Forum events.

All youth participants must identify their adult chaperone when they register. Chaperones must be at least 21 years of age. The Forum requires a minimum of 1 chaperone per 10 youth participants, and encourages an even lower youth-adult chaperone ratio, if possible. Youth participants and chaperones need to be in contact throughout the Forum.

Required Forms for Youth Participation are located on the Registration page. These include the Medical Consent/Health Form and the Expectations Form. This link will take you to the Registration page.
