4-H National Invitational Information

Are you interested in learning how you can participate in the 4-H National Invitational Shooting Sports event next year? The 2006 Rock County 4-H Invitational Shoot is the qualifying event that can open the door for you to participate in the 4-H National Invitational Shoot for 2007. This year Rapid City South Dakota is hosting the National Invitational and next year a southern state will host this event. Below you will find an overview of the national guidelines plus shooting disciplines offered at this year’s 4-H National Shooting Sports event. Overview of National Qualifying Guidelines for all States:

  • Each state is limited to one team per discipline or category and allowed no less than 3 or no more than 4 members to make up a team.
  • A team or individual is limited to participating in only one discipline or category.
  • Individuals may participate and are eligible for individual awards.
  • You must have passed age 14 and not have passed age 19 as of January 1 of the event year to be eligible.
  • Once you compete in a discipline you are no longer eligible to compete in that discipline. However, you may return to national competition in another discipline.
  • 4-H enrollment is mandatory to compete.
