UW-Extension is the "Wisconsin Idea" - extending the boundaries of the university to the boundaries of the state, establishing important connections with people from all walks of life. Through its partnerships with 26 UW campuses, Wisconsin counties, tribal governments and other organizations, UW-Extension provides a spectrum of valuable lifelong learning opportunities for Wisconsin citizens.
Cooperative Extension Organization Chart (1 page, 150 KB) - The University of Wisconsin-Extension, Cooperative Extension is a unique partnership of counties, the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the University of Wisconsin working together to help people put knowledge to work. It reflects the vision that has become known as The Wisconsin Idea.
- Faculty and Staff Governance and Advisory Groups - shared governance means that faculty and academic staff have representation in matters affecting them.
- Department of Youth Development - Department members are UW-Extension faculty who
profess expertise in the interdisciplinary research and knowledge base of youth development.
- Academic Staff Council -
The Academic Staff Council is UW-Extension's academic staff governance body and serves as the official channel of communication between the academic staff and all institutional offices and bodies.
- Committee on Academic Staff Issues -
The Cooperative Extension Committee on Academic Staff Issues (CASI) builds and improves the relationship between academic staff, faculty and administration.
