Nominations open for Department of Youth Development

Vice Chairs Bob Matysik and Tracy Strother have listed the open positions for Department of Youth Development elected responsibilities that will need to be filled this next year.

 

Nominations are requested by December 30, 2009 with election early in 2010. Nominations should be sent to either Bob or Tracy. Please discuss this within your districts/quad/state areas. Consider nominating qualified individuals, including a self-nomination.

Faculty Senate and Tenured Faculty Review representatives represent 2 districts.

 

In reviewing the “Rotation of Administrative Unit” document, the following opportunities to serve the Department are available with terms beginning July 1, 2010

 

            Departmental Chair: Annual Election (Tenured Faculty Member)

 

            District Vice Chair: 2-Year Term (any Department member)

Eastern

Southern

Western

Northern

 

            Standards, Rank, & Promotion: 3-Year Term (Tenured Faculty Member)

                     Quad Counties

Northern

Central

 

            Research & Publications: 3-Year Term (Any Department Member)

                     Western

        State Staff

 

Faculty Senate: 3-Year Term (any Department member – cannot succeed self)

                   Quad Counties/State Staff- (Represents Eastern District also)

 

            Tenured Faculty Review: 3-Year Term (Tenured Faculty) Preferably, persons who are not up for  

TFR during their term.

                       Eastern- (Represents Quad Counties/State Staff also)

 

Faculty Tenure Advisory Committee: 3-Year Term (Tenured Faculty Member–cannot succeed self)

                        1 At Large

 

           Professional Development Advisory Committee, 3-Year Term, (Any Department member)

                        1 At Large
