  • National Energy Education Project (NEED) The mission of the National Energy Education Development Project is to promote an energy conscious and educated society by creating effective networks of students, educators, business, government and community leaders to design and deliver objective, multi-sided energy education programs. You will find resources and information that can be used with 4-H audiences.

  • Engineering Education Service Center Engineering Education Service Center (EESC) is an engineering education company that specializes in providing products for K-12 schools to teach and share the fun of engineering. From curriculum to books, DVDs, posters, T-shirts and other motivational products, they aim to make engineering understandable and accessible to everyone.
  • Wisconsin GEMS—Girls Engineering Math Science Wisconsin GEMS (Girls Engineering Math Science) is a collaborative effort supported by UW-Extension, UW-Colleges and numerous other community partners to support math and science exploration for middle school girls. In addition to GEMS/GMSO conferences, these campuses offer numerous other opportunities for hands-on math and science activities including College for Kids, Science Academies, math tutoring, Super Saturdays and tours.

  • UW-Madison Camp Badger Engineering Camp This site includes information about a week long residential engineering camp for 8th graders.
  • eGFI—Engineering, Go For It! eGFI is sponsored by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). They are committed to promoting and enhancing efforts to improve K-12 STEM and engineering education.
  • Badger State Science Fairs Learn about science fairs in Wisconsin. A science fair is one of the most amazing educational and personal experiences our youth can have.   • Great Explorations in Math and Science from Lawrence Hall of Science GEMS is a leading resource for innovative science and mathematics education. Developed at the Lawrence Hall of Science, the public science education center at the University of California- Berkeley, and tested in thousands of classrooms nationwide, over 70 GEMS Teacher's Guides and Handbooks offer a wide range of supplementary learning experiences for preschool through 8th grade.

  • National 4-H Engineering Challenge National 4-H Science, Engineering and Leadership Event at Purdue University includes contests in aerospace, bicycle, computer, electric, lawn tractor, small engines, tractor and welding. Robotics was included as a pilot event in 2009.
  • Space Science and Engineering Center—UW-Madison Link to space science and engineering education programs and outreach opportunities available at the SSEC.
  • Mixing in Math This Web site is a free resource for those looking for easy ways to integrate math into out-of-school time. The activities are geared toward K-6 grade and are available in English and Spanish. Educators and parents can use these activities to put math into a variety of topics such as cooking, telling stories, gym exercises, and arts and crafts projects.
  • Design Squad STEM Teacher's Guide Design Squad has developed a new guide for middle school science and technology teachers. The guide blends hands-on engineering challenges with three core science topics—force, electricity and sound. The challenges use low cost, readily available materials and are linked to national science and technology standards
