About Sauk County

Located in southwest Wisconsin, the county seat is Baraboo. Sauk County is home to over 55,000 people and has it all. Known as the "Playground of the Midwest", Sauk County features the fantastic family attractions of the Wisconsin Dells; some of the best state parks, such as Devil's Head State Park; the magnificent architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright in Spring Green and the home of the Ringling Brothers in Baraboo!  Devil's Lake State Park, an Ice Age National Scientific Reserve, and Natural Bridge State park, both in the Baraboo Hills, offer spectacular vistas, unique forest ecosystems, breath-taking bluffs and rock formations. The county is also home to three full-service downhill ski areas, the 400 Trail and the Ice Age hiking and cycling Trail.
