Among other findings, the report estimates that 20% of all foreclosures involve small, investor-owned rental properties for families.

- Hope Hotline operated by NeighborWorks - 888-995-HOPE offers free foreclosure prevention counseling to any homeowner in America having trouble paying their mortgage. The service is available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Prevention counseling is done by expert counselors at HUD-approved agencies

- Subprime Spillover, January 18, 2008 (revised), Center for Responsible Lending. This report estimates the devaluation of homes and the tax collection implications associated with foreclosures. This was the basis for some of the data in the Pew report linked above ("Defaulting on the Dream").
