Wacky Mushroom ID

Anyone have resources to answer mushroom ID questions? Can anyone give me a name or family that this mushroom belongs to? Homeowner is curious as to what it is and how it reproduces.

I thought perhaps this was a hen-of-the-woods, but I checked with Dan Lindner at the USDA Forest Products Lab and here is Dan's response:

"Based on the yellow/orange color, I'd say it's a chicken-of-the-woods (Laetiporus) rather than a hen-of-the-woods (Grifola). Hen-of-the-woods is generally brown in color. Hope that helps!"
