Brown Spots in Apples

These Cortland and Paula Red apples both exhibit brown spots in the fruit. The trees are over 10 years old and their fruit has shown these symptoms for the past several years. The owner said he sprayed the trees with insecticide every 10 days after 3/4 petal drop. Is this Cork spot, water core or something else?
