Ladybugs in soybeans

Resend...It's goodbye aphids, hello Ladybugs. Soybean fields are full of them. I'm not sure what is going on in the third image, but if you look closely, I think they're smiling.

I should have known you were up to something. However, I think this activity has a lot to do with the decline in the number of aphids in the field. It explains why lady beetles usually lag behind aphids and we end up spraying. Aphids on the other hand don't have to waste time with males to get the job done, and can outcompete the lady beetles in the numbers game
