Helping the Future of Wisconsin's Communities
Agricultural and business competitiveness go hand in hand with environmental responsibility. Wisconsin workers need good jobs with good wages and benefits, and this requires better technology, effective management, less waste and improved skills and education. Future business competitiveness requires a commitment of management and work force to increase productivity and product quality with managed environmental impact.
The UW-Extension Promoting Agricultural and Business Competitiveness and a Sustainable Environment Issue Team partners with business, agriculture and other educational and government agencies to help them develop and adopt state-of-the-art process and management strategies and understand environmental responsibilities. The focus of these activities is to promote the competitiveness of agriculture and business and responsible environmental management.
