Economic Impact of Agriculture in Wisconsin

Wisconsin's farms and agricultural businesses generate more than $59.6 billion in economic activity and provide jobs for 353,991 people.  New research from University of Wisconsin-Madison and UW-Extension shows how important agriculture is to the state's economy.

Economic Impact Report

Agriculture is a powerful economic force in Wisconsin.  This new study by Steve Deller, University of Wisconsin-Madison professor of agricultural economics and UW-Extension community development specialist; and Dave Williams, UW-Extension associate professor and assistant program leader for Agriculture and Natural Resources measures agriculture's contribution to the state's economy.
