"Buy Local" Initiatives
"Buy Local" is the latest incarnation of the old "import substitution" strategy for community economic development.
Initiatlly focused on food, "Buy Local" has expanded to include retail and service sectors as well.
County-based University of Wisconsin-Extension faculty have worked with communities across Wisconsin on Buy Local initiatiaves.
