Mission: The purpose of the Classified Staff Organization (CSO) is to promote a positive professional environment for all classified employees (represented, non-represented, limited term and project appointment); to encourage informed communication, professional development and collective decision-making; and to serve as advisors to the Cooperative Extension Dean and Director on matters of interest to classified staff. The organization promotes a spirit of trust, respect and equality among all members of the Extension community while supporting Cooperative Extension’s mission.

2012 Cooperative Extension Classified Staff Award for Excellence

August 17, 2012

Greetings Colleagues:

The Classified Staff Advisory Council is now seeking nominations for the 2012 Cooperative Extension Classified Staff Award for Excellence.

Who: All current classified staff, limited-term employees, and project appointment employees of Cooperative Extension are eligible to be nominated for the Cooperative Extension Classified Staff Award for Excellence.

Any employee of Cooperative Extension may make a nomination for this award. No self-nominations will be accepted.

Selection process: The Classified Staff Award Selection Committee serves to review and evaluate all nominations and select a recipient for the Cooperative Extension Classified Staff Award. The Award Selection Committee for 2012 consists of Chad McClure, Lisa Nichols, and Sarah Traaholt.

The Award: The award recipient shall receive a plaque and be honored at the Cooperative Extension Classified Staff Conference and be recognized in institutional (UW-Extension and Cooperative Extension) newsletter publications, e-mails, and announcements.
