Fall Forage Field Day

 

   When:  Wednesday, September 4th                 Where:  Abel Dairy Farm, Eden
Time:  11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

11am - 12:00 pm   Corn Silage Moisture Testing

Bring 4 stalks of corn from silage fields (maximum of two samples per farm) for whole plant moisture determination.  Be sure samples are representative of entire field.  Cut samples at normal cutting height.  Stalks should be tied together and tagged with name, address, phone number, E-mail or fax (if available), hybrid, maturity, and planting date.  There will be no charge for testing but samples need to be brought to the farm before 12:00 pm. 

11:45   Lunch

The Fond du Lac County Forage Council will provide lunch for a nominal $2.00 per plate charge.
