Harvesting corn silage at the proper whole plant
moisture is important for proper storage and utilization. Unfortunately, there
simply is no easy method to determine this parameter by going out in the field and
"kicking the tires". The following offers producers a benchmark on the
progress of corn silage whole plant moisture in Fond du Lac County. Samples will be
chopped and submitted for analysis on Mondays over the next several weeks. Statewide
