Up until 2008 we knew of a few Master Naturalist or Master Watershed Steward Programs that were connected with volunteer monitoring/citizen science, and Extension. Those were listed along with other volunteer monitoring programs on our website. Then in 2008, we learned of many more Master Naturalist programs across the United States - many with Extension and volunteer monitoring connections. So, we developed a listing of these programs to provide easy access to them and link them with the Extension Volunteer Monitoring Network. Please let us know if you know of a program not listed here. Also visit the Alliance of Natural Resource Outreach and Service Programs (ANROSP) website to learn more about these programs.
