Multi-Jurisdictional Comprehensive Planning
Since 2006, Kenosha County and nine of its local government units have been working cooperatively with the County Department of Planning & Development, the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC), and Kenosha County UW-Extension to develop a comprehensive plan in order to meet the requirements of Wisconsin's "Smart Growth" law.

2010 Census
As mandated by the U.S. Constitution, the nation is gearing up for its 10-year count of all residents in our 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Island areas. In partnership with the County, all 12 municipalities, and the Census Bureau, UW-Extension is working to increase awareness of the census and its importance, and to encourage prompt participation on Census Day -- April 1, 2010.
