Diversity and Multicultural Awareness Education
The primary stride for unity in our diverse world is then to foster respect, acceptance and understanding of individuals unlike ourselves—empathy. The foremost goal of the FIVE Program is to increase youth’s awareness of an array of global cultural identities and exhibit empathy for individuals of diverse audiences.

FIVE participants felt the highlight of their 2008 trip to Milwaukee was the opportunity to attend The Color Purple as it allowed an authentic experience in which they could apply the multicultural issues they had considered and developed throughout the rest of their trip. |
