  • The average age of members is 8 – 16 years.

Mill Creek was started in September 2003, so it is a fairly new 4-H Club.   This club feels that strong young child development is important and encourages their member’s project work to reflect quality rather than quantity.

Mill Creek 4-H Club members see themselves as friendly and open to suggestions and change.  They participate in many activities, but do not force anyone to join in.

The Mill Creek 4-H Club participates in a variety of social and recreational activities including:

  • Potlucks
  • Picnics
  • Kickball
  • Dodge ball
  • ME Trips
  • Tundra Swan Watch
  • Action City
  • Sorting Watkins products for our annual fundraiser
  • County Fair!
  • 4-H club meetings

The Mill Creek 4-H Club feels community service is important and takes part in these activities:

  • Sorting all the Watkins products for our annual fundraiser
  • Preparing and serving a meal to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, MN.
  • Cleaning up the County Fair exhibit buildings in preparation for the Fair.

The Mill Creek 4-H Club members take advantage of these educational opportunities to learn and to grow:

  • Action City
  • Buffalo County Fair
  • Club meetings
  • Tundra Swan Watch

Each year, the Mill Creek 4-H Club members join in the fundraising activities that are selected by the 4-H Leaders’ Association.  There are currently two main fundraising activities each year:

  1. Watkins Products in the fall
  2. Club’s Choice food products in the spring/summer
