Biography:
Marilyn Kooiker is a University of Wisconsin-Extension Family
Living Agent in Burnett County, located in northwest Wisconsin.
She answers questions on topics ranging from effective parenting
/ grandparenting and healthy diet and exercise, to child care,
money management, stress management and minimizing risks to youth
and families.
Marilyn has been involved in grandparenting issues and has
worked with Polk County colleagues to form a discussion group
and to initiate legislation promoting grandparents' rights when
raising their grandchildren.
She has worked for Burnett County UW-Extension since 1992;
first as secretary, and now as Family Living Agent/Department
Head. She is married and the mother of two teenage daughters.
