Matt Glewen is originally
from Fond du Lac County where he was raised on a livestock farm.
He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1979
with a BS in Meat and Animal Science. He received his M.S. in
Meat and Animal Science from UW - Madison in 1980 specializing
in ruminant nutrition.
Matt started working
in Calumet County as the Dairy and Livestock Agent in 1981. In
1987 crop production was added to his areas of responsibilities
and his title was changed to Agriculture Agent.
Bryce Larson began working half time with Calumet County UW-Extension in August 2007. He recently retired after serving for 31 years as a farm training instructor with Lakeshore Technical College in Cleveland. He comes to the position with a wealth of knowledge gleaned from a lifetime working in agriculture. Bryce served as president of the Manitowoc County Forage Council for a number of years and has received certification as a Certified Crop Consultant.
At this point, Matt will continue with dairy-related programs, while Bryce focuses on crop production and nutrient management. However, please feel free to contact either of us with your concerns and questions on any topic. Sometimes the best answer is the one you can get today!
