Personal Biography: Cathy started working for the Grant County Extension Office in September of 1989 as a temporary assistant to the 4-H program. Later that year she was hired as Youth Assistant. Cathy is a former Grant County 4-H member and has served as a 4-H leader in the Busy Badgers 4-H Club since 1983. In 2003, Cathy McPhail received the Grant County 4-H Meritorious Service Award for her dedication to Grant County 4-H.

Cathy devotes most of her time to the 4-H program coordinating events and activities with 4-H volunteers. Cathy also helps supervise student help. Cathy handles the Blue Ribbon 4-H enrollment program and she serves as team leader when Tom Schmitz is not available. Cathy also assists the Department Head by working with budget reports and computer support.
