What is a Cloverbud or Explorer?

A cloverbud is a youth enrolled in Kindergarten thru 2nd grade as of January of the current year.
An explorer is a youth enrolled in the exploring project in 3rd thru 4th grade.

On this page you will find many informational items related to the Cloverbuds/Exploring Project. There is a calendar of the scheduled project events and workshops. The Cloverbud/Exploring Leaders and contact numbers are listed at the bottom of the page. To register for the classes, contact the Green County UWEX office at 608-328-9441. 2008-09 Cloverbud Calendar

10:00-2:00 PM

Cloverbud/Exploring Christmas
Children will work on make & take projects. Bring a gift between $5-$6 and participate in the gift exchange!
Cost = $5.00

Feb 21

10:00-12:00 PM

Cloverbud/Exploring Workshop
Children meet to explore project areas and work on their projects for the fair. Cost = $4.00.

Cloverbud/Exploring Cabin Fever Day
Children build their own "cabins" based on a chosen theme and get to know other Cloverbuds! Cost = $5.00.

Cloverbud/Exploring Foods Fair
Cloverbuds/Explorers are given a chance to prepare food and have it judged face-to-face just like the Foods Revue when you become a regular 4-H member! Cost = TBA

Green County Fair
Experience face-to-face judging on the projects made throughout the year and talk to the judges about the projects made! Cost = Free.

Cloverbud Record Books Due
Cloverbud record books are due to the County on this day. Club leaders will request them prior to this date to allow turning them into the County by this required date. Click here to download the Cloverbud Record Book!
