Green County Leaders

Green County Leaders is a community leadership program consisting of an orientation, 9 classes and a graduation. Classes are held the second Wednesday of each month, September through May. Classes focus on leadership skills and issues of concern to Green County communities. Participants network with local and non-local experts. To learn more about the program click here.

Discover the Color of Your Personality

Discover the Color of Your Personality is a fun and interactive program that uncovers the secrets of why people do the things that they do! Participants learn to recognize the different ways in which people communicate and how to adapt their communication styles in order to be more effective in their relationships with family, friends and co-workers. There is a minimal per person fee for the program.

Youth Leadership Curriculum

The Youth Leadership Curriculum was developed by the 4-H Youth Development and Community Resource Development Educators in Iowa and Green Counties. The curriculum is for youth grades 9-12. The curriculum is divided into seven major leadership topics:

• Leadership Self-Assessment
• Leadership Styles
• Personality and Motivation
• Diversity
• Conflict
• Team Leadership
• Youth Involvement

Each topic includes a series of lessons that can be used to explore the topic and foster learning that will enhance the leadership skills, knowledge, confidence and aspirations of youth. The curriculum can be used in its entirety by teachers, 4-H programs, and other existing youth programs or individual lessons can be incorporated into existing curriculum and activities.

The Youth Leadership Curriculum can be order for a nominal fee in CD or 3-ring binder formats. Each school district in Iowa and Green counties has been given a complimentary copy of the curriculum.
