Overview
In June 2006, ArtsBuild and Green County Partners held a Smart Communities conversation in Monroe. This community dialogue aimed at identifying and increasing the visibility of artists and art organizations as community and regional assets, sparked passion among artists, educators, and business leaders in Green County. These partners agreed to keep the discussion alive through a Green County Smart Communities initiative.
Partners agreed to focus on connecting local businesses and the arts community to help promote community and economic development in Green County.
The Green County Smart Communities partners are looking for input and anyone interested in getting involved can send queries to smARTcommunities@tds.net.
