Blue RibbonIOWA COUNTY FAIR

The Iowa County Fair is held over the Labor Day Weekend, beginning on Thursday and running through Monday (Labor Day), at the fairgrounds in Mineral Point.  The County Fair is administered by a volunteer Fair Society, although the Junior Fair is administered by the UW-Extension staff, with the assistance of volunteers in many areas.

Who can exhibit at the Fair?

All 4-H members are eligible to participate in the Iowa County Junior Fair, as well as youth belonging to other youth organizations, i.e. FFA, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, or breed organizations.

The Iowa County Fair also has several Open Class departments for adults and youth not involved in youth organizations. Open Class premium books will be available at several locations around Iowa County.

Although the Fair is held at the Fairgrounds in Mineral Point, any questions or concerns about Junior Fair activities should be directed to the UW-Extension Office in Dodgeville, 608-935-0391.

Questions concerning Open Class exhibits, general fair questions, or requests for commercial display space should be directed to Phil Crawford, Fair Coordinator, 254 Shakerag St., Mineral Point WI 53565, 608-987-2913.
