IOWA
COUNTY FAIR
The Iowa County Fair
is held over the Labor Day Weekend, beginning on Thursday and
running through Monday (Labor Day), at the fairgrounds in Mineral
Point. The County Fair is administered by a volunteer Fair
Society, although the Junior Fair is administered by the UW-Extension
staff, with the assistance of volunteers in many areas.
Who can exhibit at
the Fair?
All 4-H members are
eligible to participate in the Iowa County Junior Fair, as well
as youth belonging to other youth organizations, i.e. FFA, Girl
Scouts, Boy Scouts, or breed organizations.
The Iowa
County Fair also has several Open Class departments for adults
and youth not involved in youth organizations. Open Class premium
books will be available at several locations around Iowa County.
Although the Fair is
held at the Fairgrounds in Mineral Point, any questions or concerns
about Junior Fair activities should be directed to the UW-Extension
Office in Dodgeville, 608-935-0391.
