A day-long program designed for rural landowners, existing small farmers and/or individuals who are thinking about getting involved in farm/agricultural enterprise. New this year -- A farmers market will be held from 8AM - 1 PM at the Kenosha County Center in conjunction with the 2nd Annual Rural Landowners Conference.

(14 Pages, 295 KB) The proper disposal of household hazardous waste is extremely important in order to prevent contamination of our waterways, soils and the environment in general.  This guide is an attempt to give the residents of Kenosha and Racine Counties information about the proper disposal of a variety of household items. Wisconsin Tractor Safety Program
Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties are working together to provide a tractor safety course for youth ages 12-15. It is required by the state of Wisconsin that any youth under the age of 16 that is driving farming implements on roads be certified and participate in a Wisconsin Safe Operation of Tractor and Machinery Certification Program.

stay tuned for information on the 2010 classes. Classes will be held from 8am to noon June 21 - 25 and 28, 2010 at the Burlington High School. Registration information will be available in early 2010.

Annie’s Project is an opportunity for farm women to learn about farm management skills and strategies in a comfortable setting

• Provides resources and information to improve your farming operation
• Classes are small
• Participants are other farm women from your county/area
• Opportunities to network with other farm women in similar situations
