Ambassadors

What is the purpose of the Ambassador program?

Ambassadors are select representatives of the La Crosse County 4-H program.  Their mission is to promote the La Crosse County 4-H program while they develop their leadership skills.

What do they do?

To accomplish their mission ambassadors will:

  • help at festivals by presenting awards, ushering and emceeing
  • work at the fair
  • talk with community groups about 4-H
  • go out to clubs to promote upcoming events
  • go to schools to recruit members
  • be in parades
  • do TV and/or Radio spots

What are the qualifications?

Ambassadors must currently be a freshman, sophomore or junior in high school. The time commitment involved is one year starting in May. Ambassadors should have a desire to be a leader, be knowledgeable about 4-H and want to promote it. Most importantly they should be willing to learn and have fun while doing so.
