The Wisconsin Nutrition
Education Program (WNEP) helps people in La Crosse County:
- Learn about nutrition and resource management through research-based
education.
- Purchase and prepare low-cost, nutritious meals and snacks.
- Keep foods safe to eat.
- Balance foods eaten with physical activity.

WNEP partners with other
community agencies in La Crosse County to provide free nutrition
education to families and individuals who receive or are eligible
to receive food stamps. La Crosse County WNEP partners include:

October 15th, 2004, the name of the federal Food Stamp Program
in Wisconsin changed to "FoodShare
Wisconsin". For more information on FoodShare Wisconsin,
visit their website at www.dhfs.wisconsin.gov/foodshare/.
