Walk & Talk Flyer
Do you ever wish you had someone to walk with after work, or someone to motivate you to get your exercise routine in?
Do you need someone to talk to, to relieve the stress in your day?
Well “WALK & TALK” might be just what you are looking for!!!
Mary Knellwolf, Family Living Educator with UW-Extension is continuing her efforts with the “Wellness is the Weigh to Go” Coalition. Walk & Talk is a daily walking program for all individuals young and not so young to obtain exercise, stress relief, meet new people and learn more about nutrition and exercise in your daily life. It started in September of 2007. Well get ready! It’s starting again in 2008!
The first day of Walk & Talk will begin on Monday, May 5, 2008 and will continue daily, Monday through Thursday at 5:00 PM during the summer months. The meeting place will be the “Fish Pond” in front of the Lafayette County Courthouse.
Information on healthy recipes, healthy snacks, exercise, and stress relief will be available each evening at the beginning of the walk. The walk will consist of a 2 mile route along the walking path on Monday and Wednesday and a Main Street/Galena Street route on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
EVERYONE is welcome to come so please, bring a friend, bring your children, bring a co-worker, and of course, bring your walking shoes and get into the routine of exercise, fun and fitness!
