Camp TaPaWingo is owned by the Manitowoc County 4-H Leaders
Association and serves the county and beyond. It offers opportunities
for winter and summer camping in a beautiful setting. Some project
area activities include youth/teen activities, Haunted Camp,
traditional Summer Youth Camp for ages 5-14, Hunter Safety Camp,
Winter Camp and Chili Dinner/Open House, Easter Egg Hunt, and
new this year Christmas at TaPaWingo.
The Camp also offers opportunities for youth leadership and
training through our camp counselor program for 4-H and community
young people.
We are extremely fortunate to own our own Camp, and the goal
is to get optimum usage of this facility and to make continual
improvement to it. In the past year, the Wagner Building has
been completed for both 4-H and small community groups to use.
This makes camp more available to more groups, both locally and
statewide.
Camp TaPaWingo is available to user groups. A lodge, including
dormitory space and kitchen facilities, and cabins are available
for booking by family groups, churches, schools, and other organizations.
Please contact Jessica Peterson, Executive Director, for further information about Camp TaPaWingo by either calling her at (920) 755-2785 or e-mailing her camptapawingo@lsol.net
