UW-Extension Bio-Energy & Bio-Economy Team
The Bio-Energy and Bio-Economy Team provides training, resources, public education, and networking opportunities for Extension Specialists on the technical, environmental, social, and economic aspects of the emerging bioeconomy.

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)
The USDA is a research leader in everything from human nutrition to new crop technologies that allow us to grow more food and fiber using less water and pesticides; and helps ensure open markets for U.S. agricultural products and provides food aid to needy people overseas.

USDA Natural Disaster Assistance

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) provides many types of assistance to farmers and other rural residents, as the result of natural disasters such as drought, fire, flood, storm, earthquake, hurricane, tornado, and volcanic eruption. Also provides assistance to producers who suffer losses as a result of crop or livestock disease or pest infestation.

Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection (DATCP)

Inspects and licenses more than 100,000 businesses and individuals, analyze millions of laboratory samples, conduct hundreds of hearings and investigations, educate businesses and consumers about best practices, adopt rules that have the force of law, and promote Wisconsin agriculture at home and abroad. The Wisconsin Farm Center can also be found at this same website. The Wisconsin Farm Center offers valuable resources for farmers and their families with programs such as farm mediation and arbitration, rural electric power services, financial counseling and analysis, career change counseling and information about training, Sowing the Seeds of Hope, and the Farm Link Program.

AgrAbility of Wisconsin
Farming is a way of life that values the family working together for a common goal. When a family member is affected by a severe disability, this way of life is challenged. Since 1991, AgrAbility of Wisconsin has been promoting success in agriculture for farmers with disabilities and their families. Wisconsin Farm Technology Days

Formerly known as Wisconsin Farm Progress Days, this technology exposition is the largest in Wisconsin. The three-day outdoor event the showcases the latest improvements in production agriculture. Each year, it is held in a different Wisconsin county, on a different host family farm.

UW Center for Agricultural Safety & Health

Part of the Department of Biological Systems Engineering, the center responds to the agricultural safety and health needs of the farming community. Provides information on the Wisconsin Safe Operation of Tractor and Machinery Certification Program

UW-Extension Water Resources Education

Goat Dairy Library
The Wisconsin-based library holds information for setting up and managing a commercial goat dairy. Materials are extracted from professional articles, journals and books, and from interviews with experienced goat milk producers. The site is arranged so that readers can quickly find a topic, scan the best information currently available, and locate links.

The Wisconline website offers the Wisconsin Crop Weather Report, it is updated weekly by the Wisconsin Agricultural Statistical Service.

Wisconsin Corn Agronomy

Professional Nutrient Applicators Association of Wisconsin

Ginseng Board of Wisconsin

The Ginseng Board of Wisconsin (GBW) was established in 1986 as a nonprofit organization representing all Wisconsin Ginseng growers. There are approximately 200 Ginseng growers in the state. The GBW is funded through a mandatory assessment on dry Ginseng root and seed sold.

UW-Extension Farmer to Farmer Corn and Forage List

Puts Wisconsin farmers in touch with one another for the purpose of buying and/or selling corn and forage. The farmer to farmer list is free of charge to both buyers and sellers. Users can list or search for high moisture corn, corn grain, corn silage, alfalfa haylage, sorghum sudangrass silage, soybean silage, or hay.

Provide access to a variety of environmental related measurements including weather (AWS, ASOS/AWOS, OPU reports), solar radiation, water evapotranspiration, crops, and fertilizer management.

Unisys Weather

This is an excellent website for in depth weather data. Following the "MRF 10 day forecast" link on the first page to the 9 panel 300mb maps gives the 10 jet stream forecast that can be very helpful in seeing what the general weather pattern may be like. This is a joint effort of Unisys Corporation and the Purdue University weather server.
