MILC Program Information

Milk Income Loss Contract Program (MILC)

USDA Farm Service Agency’s Milk Income Loss Contract Program (MILC) compensates dairy producers when domestic milk prices fall below a specified level. The 2002 Farm Bill authorized MILC through Sept. 30, 2005. The Agricultural Reconciliation Act of 2005 reauthorized the program through September 30, 2007. The Farm Service Agency's website contains daily LDP (Loan Deficiency Payment) rates and PCP data. You can search LDP rates by state/county and crop. PCP market data is available by state/county and crop. The FSA website also provides links to milk and grain futures.
