A brand new De Laval
Double Diamond 8 stall parallel parlor was retrofitted into his
stall barn for just over $90,000, includes concrete and labor.
Rick has a very nice parlor and saved some money by using his
stallbarn and original milk house. He supported the king beams
of his old barn with steel I-beams to create a very open holding
area.At additional cost the Urmanski’s retrofitted the other
wing of the barn into 84 freestalls.
Aschbrenner, Troy

2467 9th Ave., Athens
Troy bought a used
herringbone parlor and his family and friends helped with the
remodel for a project cost of $30,000. There are two maternity
pens in the section of the barn next to parlor. The original barn
addition has been remodeled for a post rail feed curb and saw
dust bedded pack.

The Belangers retrofitted
a their stallbarn with stainless steel stallwork and a new Double
6 parlor, including CIP with auto take offs for about $50,000.
They also added freestalls into a post frame shed.
