IRS Training Online

The Internal Revenue Service has put workshops and resources for small and mid-size nonprofits online. Obtaining and maintaining 501(c)(3) tax exempt status is crucial to the success of many organizations.  This online training provides the tools and knowledge to help you keep your organization’s exempt status intact. Outcome Measurement

A Leadership Workshop For Emerging Women Leaders in Nicaragua

The VOICE (Validating Our Initiatives and Creating Equality) Project is a twelve month Leadership Training Project focused on building human capital in women, organized by Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners of the Americas, Inc. (W/NP), a 501c3 volunteer organization. W/NP works to foster people-to-people relationships and build cross-cultural ties between citizens of Wisconsin and Nicaragua. Resources and Support for Non-Profits

Resources for community service organizations are available through the UW-Extension Center for Community Economic Development. The web library links learners to articles, organized by topic, from board governance to volunteer management. Access a listing of other resources available on the Internet is also available through the Learner Resources Center Non-profit Web sites.

Technology for Dialogue

Each part of an organization has a unique perspective on a portion of the whole system. Open communication is key for people to develop a broader understanding of the system and of shared goals and common interests. Dialogue technologies provide a means for people to discover these together. World Cafe is one such technology. By consciously engaging people through attention to context, surroundings and communication, World Cafe participants are able to create together.
