Learning About Natural
Resources
| Milwaukee, the "gathering place by the
rivers," is an area rich in natural resources. Due to
the foresight of our local leaders, many of these resources
have been protected in parkways that follow rivers throughout
the county. No matter where you live in Milwaukee County,
one of our 144 county parks is nearby.
Extension uses these parks as well as many other venues for
helping Milwaukee residents learn about natural resources.
We have programs for all ages from pre-school to adults on
a wide variety of topics from insects to stormwater management.
