“EXPLORING 4-H SATURDAY” Just two hours of FUN + GAMES on June 7 with Mr. John de Montmollin. We learned many new group games that have no winners or losers. Being outside, the group doubled in size having neighborhood youth joining the fun.
Sept. 6th “PUBLIC SERVICE PROJECT” Part of being a 4-H member is our public service projects.
Oct. 4TH “BIRD FEEDERS/BIRD HOUSES FROM RECYCLED MATERIALS” Mr. Eddie Benoit Jr. returns, this time having us make bird feeders and birdhouses. What makes this workshop so special is both will be made from recycled materials. I was speechless when Eddie shared some of materials that will be used.
Nov 1st “LEARNING SCIENCE THOUGH THE ARTS” Mary Thiry returns having us do more hands on experiments. This time we discover a fun way to learn science while dabbling in the arts. This is not a repeat of her March workshop.
“EXPLORING 4-H SATURDAY” is the first Saturday of each month from 10:00 – noon. We meet at our UW-Extension office. Please call Mark Watkins Sr. at 281-2492 no later than the Wednesday before the meeting to register. We need a head count so that project leaders of the month can plan ahead and have supplies for everyone.
Any Leader or Jr. Leader willing to lead the project of the month, please schedule with Mark.

The word "folkpatterns" was coined to describe the traditions (patterns of life) of people (folk). The 4-H FOLKPATTERNS Project is designed to guide young people in learning more about themselves, their families, and their communities. It is an opportunity to explore the folklore of their ethnic group, family, and culture. Participants will be engaged in activities and learning during the Monday gatherings, but much of the work really takes place at home and in the community as you interview family and friends, take trips to your local library, look through old family pictures and much more! Mondays, 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm
