The Big Squat Event on World Toilet Day!
Thursday, November 19th 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church
3617 N. 48th Street, Milwaukee
sponsored by Seedfolks Roots & Shoots and 4-H Clubs |
World Toilet Day is coming on November 19. I know what you're thinking: sounds silly, right? But there's nothing funny about the fact that 2.5 billion people in the world don't have proper sanitation.
But toilets are a taboo topic. To help break the taboo, the people at the World Toilet Organization have come up with a fun way to raise awareness. It's called The Big Squat: a movement for the toilet-less. On November 19, the Seedfolks Roots & Shoots Club and Seedfolks 4-H Club are inviting you to squat with us for one minute to draw awareness to this serious problem. We would like to have a squatting line that winds throughout the church!
See the flyer for information about The Big Squat!

Urban Horse Project
Please join our very own Horse Project Leader, Char Ehlert to learn more about these amazing animals. During the cold months, the Urban Horse Project will meet inside at the 4-H office. Members will learn how to make tack for model horses on Tuesdays from 4-6 pm. Then, when it warms up, youth will gallop over to Milwaukee Coach & Carriage to experience first hand what it is like to ride and show a horse. This is open to
4-H members 10 and older. You will learn basic equestrian skills and have lots of one-on-one practice
with our very own instructor. For more information about the
Urban Horse Project or to sign up, please contact Char at 414-764-7547.
