| Joining
4-H couldn't be any easier! 4-H is open to all youth from
Kindergarten through their first year of college. All you
need to do is call our 4-H Office at 414-290-2437 and we will
send you an enrollment form. Or you can download the Enrollment
Form - Word or PDF.
Fill out the form completely and don't forget to add projects
from the 2009 Wisconsin 4-H Project Guide ( 20 pages, 289 KB).
It is also important to select a 4-H Club! There are many
4-H Clubs throughout the Milwaukee area. If you don't want
to join one that is already set-up, you can start your own!
To find a club near you, choose from the list below!
- All Peoples 4-H Club
- Bay View Samplers 4-H Club
- Brown Deer 4-H
- Franklin 4-H'ers
- Hillside 4-H Club
- Northstar 4-H Club
- Northwest Peacemakers 4-H Club
- Positive Place 4-H Club
- Seedfolks 4-H Club
- South Shore 4-H Club

To learn more about the clubs, download the list of 4-H Clubs in Milwaukee County ( 29 KB, 2 pages)
Send your form back in to the 4-H Office and voila! You are
in 4-H. We will send you a really cool membership card and
you are all ready to go. Once you receive your card, you can
participate in any or all of the 4-H sponsored activities
in Milwaukee.
Adult Volunteers
Beginning this fall, orientation workshops will be held for all newly enrolled 4-H adult volunteers. The Youth Protection Process consists of four steps:
- Attend a volunteer training (2.5 hour commitment)
- Sign a list of volunteer behavior guidelines
- Authorize a confidential records check through the Department of Justice.
- Fill out two forms: Adult Volunteer Application (1st) and Adult Enrollment Form (2nd) Note: the Adult Volunteer Application gives us permission to conduct the confidential records check.
These four steps complete the 4-H volunteer certification process. Four-H has prided itself in being a proactive youth-serving organization with an excellent reputation of providing a healthy and safe environment for its members. This is one more step to assure the quality of the program. Demetrius Brown conducts youth protection trainings on a bi-monthly basis or as needed. Please contact Demetrius Brown, Youth Development Educator at (414)290-2435 or email him at demetrius.brown@ces.uwex.edu for more information.
